There were two other teenagers there at the time Hunter True was shot. We now know what they did in the moments after. "One of the 17 year-old boys called (911). Men Wear Women's Heels to Rally Against Sex Crimes

There have been several disturbing cases of sexual abuse in North Iowa in the past few months. The victims are more often women and children, but now men are doing their part to end sexual violence. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and local male community members are taking a stand by walking a mile in women's shoes. Well known men in the community like bankers,  businessmen, and even law enforcement were clomping around in high heels. Although it was entertaining, the message is an important one.

"Ah, very painful. It seems like the walk gets longer every year," laughed Sheriff Kevin Pals with the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Department. He took one for the team. He joined many others by putting on stylish heels, and walked for women. That effort, is to bring awareness to the 1 in 5 women who are sexually abused. Law enforcement officers made up a majority of the walkers, because they've seen too much of these heinous crimes.
